Last April at the Disruptor Awards, we recognized ICAN and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Beatrice Fihn along with Hiroshima atom bomb survivor Koko Kondo. We also initiated a sapling exchange between the 9-11 Memorial survivor tree and Hiroshima’s survivor tree program planting on stage seeds sent to us by city of Hiroshima during our grand finale.
Inspired by our friends during The Nantucket Project (TNP) held last September an idea emerged: The Manhattan Project. Connecting the dots from The Nobel Peace Prize, our Disruptor Awards @ Hiroshima (held in October 2017) and TNP we found ourselves provoked by the urgent need for fresh thinking and doing on global challenges. Hence we are launching The Manhattan Project Reimagined (TMPR). We are co-creating an open-source thought-do leadership platform in the spirit of The 92 St. Y’s wildly successful Giving Tuesday initiative.
We are inviting our friends from a number of the world’s most impressive networks to co-create and collaborate with us on this idea. Please come join us in designing, collaborating and launching The Manhattan Project Reimagined inside a sprawling curatorial immersion dedicated to abolishing atomic weaponry, forever. We will create an instant network of networks leveraging an amazing set of resources, organizations and exceptional people who know how to get shit done.
